Strongly recommend you try out the Standalone version available in the download button above. WebGL version works surprisingly well but there are some non-functioning elements such as mesh splicing. When you cut an enemy a dynamic mesh cut will occur splitting the enemy in half but the enemy disappears instead in webGL.

This is the first alpha build for my next project I'm currently calling scrapbath.

This is a 2.5D sidescrolling action game with minor platforming elements. Inspired by the megaman franchise specifically the zero series of games.

CONTROLS

WASD/Arrows (Left stick) - Move

SPACE (B button / Bottom button) - JUMP

Left Click (A button / Right button) - Attack

Shift ( Right Trigger) - Dash

Other notes:

In this demo you will find a short tutorial level and the first third of a planned boss fight.

Please feel free to leave any kind of feedback, feedback on currently implemented mechanics & how they work or don't work, is greatly appreciated. Please understand that this is a very early version of the game. Many features are missing and are indented to be added in the future.  The goal here is to get player feedback and course correct the game. Thank you for checking out this page and the game.

A promising alpha!

  • Movement and controls are pretty straight forward, though my only gripe is why there is a 3-hit combo. The animations for it look a bit janky, so my first impression is to just remove it.
  • Jumping into a platform caused some odd jittering.
  • The camera was a little too tightly coupled with the main character. The camera should follow the character but not like parent/child.

Thanks for the feedback! Some of the animations (mainly the attack anims) were rushed for the demo, I do like the 3-hit combo so I won't be removing it but I'll definitely be going back to them to polish it up. A few other anon's mentioned the jittering as well, it will be a priority to get that fixed up. I haven't thought about implementing a smooth camera but I guess it is common in 2D games for a reason. I'll test it out to see if I like it.
